One of the best things about living at Oaks of Tyrone in Tyrone Township is being close to everything Genesee County has to offer, and this week that means Back to the Bricks, the 21st annual classic car celebration taking over Downtown Flint from August 11 through 15, 2026, drawing over half a million visitors to the heart of our community.
What is Back to the Bricks?
Back to the Bricks started in 2005 as a small gathering of car enthusiasts on Saginaw Street. Two decades later it has grown into one of the largest classic car events in the Midwest, drawing more than half a million car lovers, collectors, and families to Downtown Flint every August. And the best part: it is completely free.
This year's lineup is the biggest yet:
- Wednesday, Aug. 12 and Thursday, Aug. 13 Rolling Cruises along Saginaw Street through Flint, Burton, and Grand Blanc, with the Mega Site serving as the main gathering hub.
- Friday, Aug. 14 Cruise N' Concert in Downtown Flint with live music and hundreds of cars on display.
- Saturday, Aug. 15 The Main Event, featuring over 3,000 classic cars filling Downtown Flint, the Automotive Heritage Statue unveiling, and the Corvette Reunion.
